Chemical Peels
There are many different types of chemical peels. They can be used alone or in conjunction with a regimen of lasers and microdermabrasion treatments. Chemical peels are most effective when used as a series of treatments.
Chemical peels come in varying strengths to achieve minor or more dramatic results.

Superficial peels-Light are designed to smooth coarse, dry, skin, improve the texture of sun-damaged skin and even out skin tone. Recovery is generally rapid and usually involves minor flaking. Typically, there is no down time with appropriate sun protection.

Medium- Deep peels are stronger and target a deeper layer of skin. They penetrate not only the epidermis but also the upper dermis layer of the skin. Your skin may have redness immediately following the treatment and occasionally there is some swelling. The body will initiate sloughing of the dead skin cells within three days and the sloughing process usually lasts around five to seven days. This process achieves all of the same improvements of the superficial peels but also can help with fine lines, wrinkles, firmness and scars.
